Catching up!

Well folks, I think I’ve surpassed myself. I can’t believe the last time I wrote on this was when I was still in ‘populated’ Australia! I guess the trouble is I’m having too much fun and don’t have enough time to sit down and write! But here I am. Now in New Zealand and on a tour that seems to be keeping me very busy during the days but affording me some spare time in the evenings so I figured I’d better get up to date.

 

I'm writing about my last destinations in Australia on the bottom of my Australia page (you may need a couple of days to read it though!). After that, I went to Fiji so I'll put that on the Fiji page. I'm in NZ now in Christchurch in Canterbury University halls of all places! I will see how quickly I can catch up but I haven't got the photos sorted for that yet.

 

I'm loving New Zealand and very definitely made the right choice coing here. Everywhere I turn there's something amazing to see. I'm finding myself over using the word 'awesome' at the moment but everything I'm experiencing is totally jaw dropping so it seems fitting!

Finally made it!

We got to the airport on time, reached check-in no problems. What could go wrong?! The guy behind the check-in desk asking me why my details had 'refuse travel' written on them!!!! Turns out my lovely travel agent hadnt bothered processing my visa after all! (This is after I confirmed and reconfirmed with her). Anyway, it turns out I could just buy one at the airport so luckily crisis was averted! (I'm still calming down before I write a letter of complaint! - I still need to get tour tickets out of her and my flight to New York!) Left me feeling a little shaken though so luckily we were able to put to good use Ben's present of tickets to a special departure lounge. After a stressful start, we waited til a respectable time to have a drink... and there was only one it could be... A Singapore Sling for Singapore Airlines!

 

 

33 hours later we arrived in Brisbane.

So, I've been having a quick look at the the first part of my trip that is completely guaranteed (as the rest is totally unknown as yet) and our Mangos and Mantarays package in Fiji apparently has us staying here for 3 nights. Looks good to me!
