Fiji

A Fine time in Fiji!

After getting to the airport in the nick of time (our flight had been moved forward by almost an hour - the kind lady who pointed us in the right direction, when we were worried we couldn’t find our plane on the departure board, assured us that ‘Pacific Air often change their mind at the last minute!’) we boarded the flight to Nadi on Viti Levu, not entirely sure what to expect.

On the flight, we had a nice in air breakfast of a hotdog (with chicken sausage), pasta mixed with coleslaw and a slab of shortbread. Unsure whether this had any bearing on Fijian food we now awaited our descent with a little more trepidation than before! As we began our approach however, all this went out of the window as we saw the turquoise ocean and the waves breaking over the reefs metres out from the shore. A paradise in waiting!

As I’m running short on time, I’m hoping the photos will speak for themselves. I will just say though that I’ve fallen in love with Fiji and would love to find a way back there someday. Maybe to work in a school there, who knows! The Fijians are MASSIVELY friendly and happy, the country is stunning, the sunshine is bliss (even when it rained it was warm which is a good thing in my book!), the men are incredibly fit (and fairly hot with it!) and there are no scary animals lurking around the corner waiting to end your life in the most painful way imaginable (unlike Australia!). Pretty perfect in my eyes (oh, and the food on the plane wasn’t anything to go by, it was delicious!).

The photos I took make things look pretty awesome but they still don’t do it justice!
